ECL/VERTRACO

Since 1981 Europe Caribbean Line (ECL) is operating a unique Liner Service between North and West Europe, the Caribbean and the North-coast of South America. This service offers the shippers a monthly opportunity to transport their cargo on a conventional basis.

This service is operated with multi-purpose break-bulk vessels. All ships are fully equipped with lifting gear with a (combined) lifting capacity up to 75 mtons. ECL offers monthly sailings with fixed calls at the following ports:

• Rotterdam, the Netherlands
• Antwerp, Belgium
• Hull, United Kingdom
• Gijon, Spain
• Georgetown, Guyana
• Paramaribo, Suriname
• Point Lisas, Trinidad
• Matanzas (Palua), Venezuela

Other ports within the same regions are served upon sufficient inducement.

 

The commodities which are shipped in this service include:

Steel cargoes
General break-bulk cargoes (pallets, crates, cases etc.)
Project cargoes including heavy lifts
Excavators, trucks, trailers, cranes and other rolling stock
Yachts
Containers
Solid bulk (including rice & grain)
Hazardous cargoes (incl. IMO 1 explosives)

Vertraco offers a Fortnightly Liner Service from North Continent Europe to North Coast South America (Suriname and Guyana).

On the basis of chartered reefer tonnage Vertraco runs a fixed day sailing, with the fastest transit time in the trade (12 days).

Vertraco Reefer Service accommodates palletized cargo, break-bulk cargoes, cars, trucks, excavators, containers (20ft/40ft, 40ft NOR), refrigerated or cooled cargoes.
